Another of my my resolutions started this month (number 2).

1 - Exercise regularly with the aim of increasing my fitness and losing weight.
I have managed to do some swimming (using a float) while my shoulder hurting - the doctor poked and prodded it before announcing that it is tendonitis. I'm to go back to the doctor's if it's not better in another 10 days or so. My personal trainer is back from her holidays and I'm now going to be having sessions on Saturday mornings instead of Sundays, as she wants Sundays to be her regular day off.

2 - Cook myself healthy meals.
Towards the end of the month, I increased the proportion of fruit and vegs in my diet. This mainly involved eating more fruit for snacks, since I've always liked vegetables much more than fruit.

5 - Do not buy more than one book per month. Reduce my TBR pile instead.
Unfortunately the cheap bookshop by the railway station was having a closing down sale all month, so I bought lots of books. In my defence, I spent £12 on 41 books and only 9 of them ended up on my TBR shelf.

6 - Take up a more creative hobby.
In April I did a morning's hand-spinning workshop which was fun, and I nearly finished knitting my second scarf.

8 - Make a monthly LJ post about my progress with my resolutions.
