Book 19: "Blue Diary" by Alice Hoffman
Monday, February 26th, 2007 20:19Ethan and Jorie Ford are extremely happily married, and everyone in the small Massachusetts town of Monroe respects and trusts Ethan, who as well as being a carpenter, volunteer fireman and little league coach. Except, for some reason, his son's friend Kat, who slips out of the house to a phone box to ring in when she sees his face on television in relation to a rape and murder committed 13 years ago and 1000 miles away.
Unfortunately, this book is written in the present tense, which I found very off-putting. It kept breaking the spell of the story, so I never really got into it.
