Bad Thing: I woke up at 5:37 am after a nightmare and couldn't get back to sleep. I virtually never have nightmares and was really unnerved by it. It started off as an ok type of dream, but at the end a woman was telling me how her husband had lost his arms and the dream showed me what had happened. He and his wife fell from a train, which somehow chopped off both his arms at the shoulders but not his head, and then as he and his wife (who was unhurt) lay there under the edge of the train with it whizzing by over them and the wife screaming, his skin sort of turned black in patches and peeled off all in one piece from his neck down to his hips (like peeling off a swimsuit as far as the hips, so that the top part of it is hanging down). And then the dream re-played the whole of the accident for a second time and I woke up. NB: I must write up the whole dream for my dream diary.
Bad Thing: After I got to work, I found a huge rip in my skirt and had to do a temporary fix with gaffer tape. And of course, all my underskirts are in the wash, so I am not wearing one today. What is really irritating is that I have no idea how it got ripped.
Bad Thing: One of my two team leaders had to take an extra day off work today as he misjudged how long it would take him to move house, so I am having to chase around finding his team things to do, help them use the test tools, etc. as well as trying to get my own work done and supervise the other team leader. And this afternoon we were all dragged into a meeting at which we were told off because the project is slipping reminded about the necessity to track progress properly.
