Indi-licious

Two of the contractors at work returned today from three week long trips home to India, bringing sweets with them. There were marzipan diamonds topped with silver leaf, and round condensed milk sweets that looked like biscuits but tasted like crumbly fudge with a slightly biscuity texture.

Indian sweets are an acquired taste, which I think is mostly down to due to the difference in texture, but once you have acquired the taste for them they are scrumptious.


NB: It is a tradition where I work that you bring in sweets when you have
been on holiday, on your birthday, and on the day you leave a project or the company.
