Cinema Trips
Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde
Pirates of the Caribbean
Goodbye Lenin!
Legally Blonde 2 was enjoyable, with some extremely funny moments, but suffered from sequelitis. I do like Reese Witherspoon.
Pirates of the Caribbean was great, as I have already mentioned in my journal. It's about the only mainstream film this year that isn't a sequel.
Goodbye Lenin! is a German film about an East German family in Berlin at the time of German reunification. When their strongly communist mother comes out of the coma that she has been in for 8 months, her adult children conspire to make her think that nothing has changed, for fear that the shock of finding out that the Berlin Wall has been torn down and the communist regime has fallen will kill her. It is a poignant and funny film and if you get a chance to see it, then do (unless you are severely allergic to subtitles).
