kittiwakeWhen I first saw the headline 'Shallow Grave actor is new Doctor Who' on teletext, I thought they meant Keith Allen (the dead flatmate with the suitcase full of money). Now that would have given a dangerous edge to the Doctor, along Colin Baker lines.
But I'm sure Christopher Eccleston will be great in the role, although I'm not at all sure about the 'fresh, modern approach' that the BBC are talking about.
