Football surprise

kittiwakeThe first surprise is that I am actually mentioning football (yawn) in my journal.
The second surprise is that we had a last-minute sweepstakes for the England-Portugal match (guess the final score after 90 minutes, extra time does not count) and I won! I chose a 1-1 draw and I even said that Portugal would go on to win on penalties! Not that this is due to any great footballing knowledge on my part - I just thought that since Portugal had just beaten Spain for the first time in years and years, the host nation factor would spur them on again. Of course the football fans in the office were all a bit miffed about me winning even if if was only ten quid.
