Reading Overload
Thursday, July 22nd, 2004 20:55I read 11 books last month so that I would have plenty to release at the Brum meet-up, and I seem to be suffering burn-out as a result. So far this month I have only read 3 books. The first was "The Last English King", a historical novel that I needed to return to the person who lent it to me, and I really struggled to finish it, even though I was enjoying it. The second was "Pompeii", a historical adventure story for my book club, which luckily was an easy read and full of interesting information about volcanoes and the workings of the Roman aqueduct system. The third was "The e Before Christmas", a short humorous book written in the form of e-mails.
And now I can't decide what to read next, as I'm not really in the mood for reading anything at all. I ought to choose something non-fiction if I'm going to keep my last remaining New Year's resolution of reading at least one non-fiction book per month.
