At the end of November, Mount TBR held 109 books, made up of 68 fiction and 41 non-fiction.

During December, I read 8 books (including 2 non-fiction), but 1 of them was a re-read so it doesn't count. I also realised that I had duplicate copies of one title so that's another one down. So that's 8 books removed from Mount TBR - very good.

But I also added 11 books to Mount TBR in November, all of which were fiction. I picked up 1 book from the Sheffield meet-up (I don't count the leftover books that I brought home purely to wild release), 1 from my Not So Secret Father Christmas parcel (I have read the other 2 before so they don't count) and 2 were Christmas presents. Unfortunately I also bought 1 as a Christmas present to myself, 3 other new books and 3 from a charity shop - very bad.

So Mount TBR has increased by 3 books, and stands at 112 books, 73 fiction and 39 non-fiction.

Not a great result, but when I started counting at the end of July, I had 131 books waiting to be read, so I have whittled away at it slowly and removed 19 books in 5 months which isn't too bad.

A Confession
Unfortunately I realised earlier this month while 'talking' to [livejournal.com profile] kangaroo on BCUK, that I haven't counted my 6 unread volumes of Proust. I think that I must have mentally assigned them to a separate category of NTBR (Never To Be Read), where they will stay until Mount TBR is a mere molehill.
