Frelling Snooker
Tuesday, December 10th, 2002 00:04I've been lying in bed totally unable to sleep and fantasising about John Crichton, so I thought I might as well get up and go on the Internet until I feel that there's a remote chance that I might be able to get to sleep.
Well this time it's snooker, but it could be athletics or ice-skating. Every time there's some boring sporting event, the BBC cancel all the stuff I like watching for two or three weeks. Why can't they cancel EastEnders, rather than Farscape and Buffy (grrr!).
To start with Crichton was probably my least favourite character in Farscape, being too clean-cut and all-American for my tastes, and I much preferred Crais. But as time went on, and he got a bit rough around the edges and began to wear black leather, he started to appeal more and more. When he was duplicated, I expected that one of him would make it back to Earth through a wormhole and the other would stay and be with Aeryn, but Farscape isn't that predictable.
In the last couple of episodes, it's been amusing that Aeryn has been saying things in English and getting them wrong, like Jirl Power instead of Girl Power. Obviously there isn't a Sebacean equivalent of the Spice girls!
