Easter Bunny ?
Monday, April 21st, 2003 20:04Walking through the wood, under the trees,
Daffodils and bluebells round my feet,
I stopped at the edge of the wood, under the new leaves
And looked out across the moors.
A mottled hare running, leaping, at full stretch,
Bigger than I'd expected,
Running free across the hillside over the short spring grass,
Never confined to dark underground burrows,
Not like a rabbit at all really.
What a comedown to be confined in the shape of a
hollow
chocolate
foil-wrapped
bunny.
