Diet & Exercise Report
Thursday, June 5th, 2003 18:40Today I decided to go back on the Atkins Diet. Not doing it is not working for me. It's the only diet with simple enough rules for me to follow strictly, as I just can't be bothered with calorie counting, etc. As I only decided this on my way to work, I ended up having bacon fried egg & mushroom for breakfast, but just some vegetables for lunch as there was nothing suitably low-carb on the canteen menu. I'll have to stock up on Atkins-friendly food at Tesco this weekend.
I have also made some exercise resolutions, as it was definitely the combination of Atkins & lots of exercise that was working for me last summer & autumn. I think I should post my progress here on Sundays and confess any lapses. That should help me stick to the straight & narrow.
Exercise Resolutions
1 - See Helen at the gym about setting me a new gym program
2 - Gym session on Saturdays & Sundays
3 - Swimming five times a week (two at the weekend and three mornings before work)
4 - Pilates class on Sunday lunchtime (unless I'm going out for lunch)
5 - Decide on another suitable exercise class to do once a week
6 - Weigh myself once a week (any more is obsessive)
