Bruce Almighty
Russian Ark
Shot in one take, after months of rehearsals. The camera glides from room to room, along corridors and up staircases, following a French aristocrat through scenes from the past and present of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg. It reminded me a bit of the beginning of "Last Year in Marienbad", where the camera goes round and round the corridors of the hotel, with the narrator repeating the same commentary over and over again.
Identity
The little boy 'Timmy', looked very like both Damian in The Omen & the Chosen One in Buffy, which should have been a clue that he was the murderer. I'm sure it's significant that the first & last victims were the personalities that symbolised the prostitute mother who had traumatised him as a child (but split into her mother & whore sides).
I think the psychiatrist was crazy to think that it would be a good personality that won the struggle, when he knew that Malcolm had killed six people when under the control of one of his personalities. Anyway, shouldn't he have been trying to integrate the personalities into one whole person, not just encouraging one of the personalities to kill off the others, leaving Malcolm thinking that he was someone else?
