Miscellany
Monday, June 30th, 2003 18:49Apparently the nutritionists have now come round to accepting that the Atkins diet does work and its not bad for you. My parents showed me a similar article to this one from BBC Online at the weekend. so it's back on the straight and narrow for me from now on. No nore excuses are acceptable.
I went to have my hair cut and coloured last week, but as I want to go lighter I ended up having two decolouring treatments and a hair cut, and making an appointment to have it coloured again next Saturday. This is the third time I've had my hair decoloured and the first time it went honey blonde, while the second time it didn't work very well at all and left my hair quite a dark brown, so it obviously depends on the original dye colour. The decolouring worked very well this time, so until Saturday it is a light sandy auburn.
I am currently reading "The Rough Guide to Unexpected Phenomena" at work at lunchtimes and "Falling Sideways" by Tom Holt at home. Next on my list are "The Promise of Sleep" and "The Difference Engine". I may also read "Life of Pi" if I can get hold of a copy at the library, as it is this month's read for the book club.
