"We shall never be content until each man makes his own weather and keeps it to himself." Jerome K. Jerome

Start the day quietly, with the kind of mist that hovers over the river and fields at dawn like the ghost of the past night. Later, clouds fill the darkening sky, ominous with copper and purple. Thunder immediately overhead makes my ears ring as lightning flashes across the sky and a heavy rainstorm (no drizzle for me) fills the gutters and runs down the pavements.
Clouds rush through the sky clearing the way for a rainbow, a double rainbow and sunset sets fire to the western horizon, orange and pink and purple and grey and yellow and . . . you get the idea.
As the sunset fades at twilight, the clear sky darkens to dark turquoise denim and Orion rises to show me the way home.

That's my kind of weather, not so hot that it wakes me up at 3:10 am, boiling hot and gasping for a drink.
