New Year Resolutions
Thursday, January 1st, 2004 21:161 - Don't buy any books.
My TBR pile has reached a ridiculous size, so I should always be able to find something to suit any mood. In fact, I have probably got enough unread books to last me two years. The only exception I will allow myself is buying books to read for the book club, if I can't get them from the library.
2 - Have a non-fiction book on the go at all times.
I keep buying non-fiction books, but it takes much longer for me to get round to reading them than it does for novels.
3 - Learn Spanish.
There is no excuse not to do this really. I bought the Michel Thomas Spanish course a while back but haven't even opened it.
4 - Meditate every day.
Being tired after a hard day at work is not an excuse. I should watch less TV and do more meditation. I'm sure it helps to relax me and lift my mood.
5 - Gym & swim twice a week.
Again, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to manage this.
I intend to post an update on how I'm doing with these resolutions once a month.
