Where I've been in Great Britain
Saturday, February 7th, 2004 08:23I've visited the counties in yellow. Which counties have you visited? made by marnanel map reproduced from Ordnance Survey map data by permission of the Ordnance Survey. © Crown copyright 2001. |
Scotland - a school camping trip to Kircudbright & a university field trip to Loch Lomond.
Wales - family holidays as a child, university in Mid Wales (including biology field trips and trips with the university sailing and canoeing clubs).
East Midlands (England) - I live in Nottinghamshire, so I've been to various neighbouring counties.
Welsh Marches (England/Wales) - mostly during my industrial year at university when I was working in the lab at a sewage farm in Cheltenham. I visited a lot of sewage farms in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire that year and a lot of rivers with the local canoe club.
Other parts of England - mostly on holidays and visiting relatives in Oxfordshire and London.
edit: I've updated this half-a-dozen times now, as I remembered other places I've been. I thought I had it right at one point but then realised that I'd forgotten to tick Notts where I live! My latest update was to add Kent (a weekend in Herne Bay), and Powys (a pony trekking holiday in the Brecon Beacons).
