Death & Taxes
Wednesday, April 14th, 2004 19:48Well, taxes anyway : (
Last night I got home to find a large envelope from the Inland Revenue awaiting me, containing a letter saying that I have to fill out a tax return for financial year 2003/4. I will just have to face the dreadful truth, that they have me in their clutches. It's common knowledge that if the Inland Revenue ever ask you to fill in a tax return, they'll send you the forms every year from then until the end of time.
I'm sure it can't be all that bad really. They have help lines you can call if you get stuck (and apparently they are actually helpful), and if you make an honest mistake they aren't going to clap you in irons. I'm going to try and get everything sorted out in the next month or so, as there's no point in leaving it until the deadline and then panicking.
