Fashionable Insanity

kittiwakeOK - I can understand the return of the poncho. They look cute and air can circulate through the holes, so they aren't too hot for summer wear.
But why would anyone wear flip-flops anywhere but at the beach? They must be so uncomfortable to wear all day.
And what sadistic fashion guru decreed that the young and fashionable should wear clumpy-looking suede boots in a heat wave? I have just seen a teenage girl wearing a denim mini-skirt, pink t-shirt and enormous shaggy yeti boots - and the temperature must be at least 25C today!
