Mount TBR - 1 month update
Thursday, September 9th, 2004 00:03Last month I counted the number of unread books in Mount TBR, and came up with a grand total of 131. At that point it consisted of 82 fiction books and 49 non-fiction, while there were 24 Bookcrossing books and 107 others.
By the end of August, Mount TBR had reduced to 115. This is made up of 68 fiction and 47 non-fiction. There are 10 from Bookcrossing and 105 others.
I read 14 books last month (helped by being on holiday for the last 9 days of the month) and wild released 3 of them in Canada. I also gave 2 books away to my brother, although I said that I'd like one of them back when he is finished with it. And there were no incoming books at all = how unbelievably restrained of me!
I'm not likely to do so well in September, as there is a Nottingham Book Crossing meet-up later in the month, and there is no realistic possibility of me coming away from it empty-handed. My parents and sister are also currently in possession of 3 of my unread No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency books, so when they give them back my total TBRs will go up again. However, I have told my family not to buy me any books for my birthday and there is a note on my Amazon wish-list to remind anyone who looks at it for inspiration.
