An answer but an annoying one : (
Tuesday, December 21st, 2004 19:11I have received a reply from Broadway as to why "Napoleon Dynamite" had no post-credit sequence. It would seem to be a money-making ploy by the distributor. I can't see any reason why they would release the film in the UK without the extra footage to start with, other than to get all the people who enjoy the film to go and see it twice.
Hi
Sorry about the missing credit sequence - I emailed the distributor as soon as I heard it wasn't on our print & here's what he told me:
The extra footage version was released in the US about half way through the run. UIP is waiting to see how the film pans out and may do the same but, as in the US, decided to release the original version to begin with.
Therefore, at some point you may be able to see the extra footage in the UK - but not yet I'm afraid.
Sorry about that - I saw a preview print with the extra footage and assumed (erroneously) that it would be released with it.
cheers
